Charter Terms and Conditions.

FlyCarolina’s charter flights are subject to availability. Flights are scheduled on a first come, first served basis; this could mean that you may not be able to return from your destination at your most desired time. FlyCarolina recommends that you ask for the airplane to stand by or wait for you at a rate of $50 per hour if you feel that your return time is especially important to you. Your purchased time is deducted from your account for hours operated in service to you and only within the current FlyCarolina service area1. This includes taxi time and is recorded by an onboard "Hobbs" meter from engine startup to engine shutdown. Empty leg charges are based on one half of the trip’s Hobbs meter or the actual time to reposition the aircraft, whichever is less. All flights are subject to FAA weight2 and content restrictions3 for the aircraft, which may limit the number of passengers and/or luggage which may be taken on board. Flight Time Deposit contracts are not transferable. A Designated person is to use all discounted flight time or may designate another person within the same family or company to redeem the purchased time. Any amount due beyond the Flight Time Deposit purchase will be charged to the credit card on file under the retail rate unless other arrangements have been made. No other discount programs apply. FlyCarolina will work with you around any weather-associated delays4. FlyCarolina reserves the right to terminate program and/or change program rules at any time, without notice. Flight Time Deposits are valid for one year from date of purchase. Airport landing and ramp fees may be charged for flights into airports which charge such fees. Departure time charges5 and other charges may apply. Fuel surcharges may be applied during the duration of this contract. Packages are non-refundable.

1. “Service Area” is defined on the website for the aircraft type selected.

2. Aircraft have a maximum weight which may be carried, including fuel, which may affect the time/distance the aircraft can fly before making a fuel stop. Passengers will be required to supply weights of themselves and baggage/cargo.

3. FlyCarolina restricts/prohibits the carriage of certain kinds of personal items, baggage and cargo. Prohibited items include but are not limited to medical oxygen, compressed gases, flammable liquids, explosives, caustic or corrosive materials, magnets and self defense sprays. Even though this is a private charter flight FlyCarolina restricts the carriage of fire arms and/or ammunition as well as dry ice (frozen CO2). Details of packaging/restrictions for the aforementioned items must be discussed with the person scheduling the flight as well as your pilot for the trip.

4. Prior to any flight the pilot shall discuss the weather with the passengers. Weather, such as low visibility at the intended destination, may make it unlikely for a flight to be completed as planned. The customer, once informed of any reduced likelihood of completing a flight as intended, is responsible for all flight time cost, repositioning costs or unexpected hotel costs associated with that flight. The pilot has final authority to delay/cancel any flight due to weather.

5. Pilots are limited by duty time in any given day. This duty time begins prior to the customers scheduled departure time and ends at a time after your arrival at the destination. Should you request a return time which meets the duty restriction and not return in time to make the return trip you will be charged for the pilots lodging, transportation and meal costs for the time he/she is off duty.
